Domestic Abuse Training & Assistance (DATA) is a FREE professional development program designed for Student Assistance Counselors (SACs), school Social Workers, Counselors and Health Education teachers.
What will you get out of DATA?
Recognize the warning signs of dating abuse and of exposure to DV at home.
Identify strategies to identify, approach and support teens.
Understand the components of a safety plan.
Learn how to properly document incidents on campus.
Identify policies and protocols that increase victim safety and hold abusers accountable.
Identify age-appropriate resource and referral information for support.

5. DATA Q&A
- For past DATA participants, we invite you to bring any questions you would like Allison Bressler to answer. Questions can be about any current or past situations you have encountered at school that include teen dating abuse, working with students exposed to DV at home, providing support to a parent in an abusive situation, policy insight, safety planning and resources.

CE Approval Collaborative Period: September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2026.
NJ social workers will receive four (4.5) general continuing education hours for each course.
Attendees must complete the entire class, and the evaluation, and sign the attendance sheet in order to receive credits.
